Hampton Bay Stonegrove

Developed for Home Depot in 2024-2025 for selling season 2026 with Grand Leisure/Letright.

History:

The Stonegrove collection for Home Depot began as a design concept for a Home Depot Canada objective the year prior to being presented to Home Depot US. The concept was in response to some inspiration provided by the Canadian team and initially the colors were more in the teak and bronze color family to meet their color requirements. Though we sampled for Home Depot Canada the set didn't translate well in their CMF and was dropped.

I loved the set and pushed to include it in our Home Depot US South Florida Fall 2026 submission with CMF more in line with trends in North America. In its new iteration the US team loved the style and we pushed it through development to production with only a table structure and tile shift.

My role:

  1. Translation of initial objective from Home Depot Canada to design direction.

  2. Feedback on rendering done by Letright design.

  3. CAD and sample reviews.

  4. CMF design of final selection.

Challenges:

  • Loading and KD optimization.

  • New KD style introduced.

  • Thick faux rope wicker caused some concerns with the R&D team but worked with weaving master to achieve desired look.

  • Difficulties finding low volume tile options available in the style the customer wanted.

Outcome:

  • Launched for fall 2026.
